Among the must-see sights in Georgia, one of the first places is undoubtedly occupied by Kazbek. Kazbek is one of the most famous peaks of the Greater Caucasus Range. Its height is 2200 m. above sea level. A beautiful view of the mountain opens from the village of Stepantsminda and from the Monastery of the Holy Trinity (Sameba) that is located nearby. The 14th century monastery is a favourite place for visiting both for tourists and local population. And the most important thing in this trip is to bring a camera, because the views here are simply mesmerizing.

Shatili - a monument of unique architecture, is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The road is long and twisting, but you definitely will not regret the time spent. Beauty begins even along the road that runs through the Alpine mountain zone. On the way you will experience unforgettable views from the Bear Cross (2676m), the incredible beauty of the Aragvi gorge and the unique castles of Shatili and Mutso.

Winter mountain resorts of Georgia, Bakuriani and Gudauri are very popular. Internationl standard ski trails and cable cars are located here, numerous hotels and holiday homes have been built, as well as restaurants for every taste. And even if you are not going to ski, you can enjoy the beautiful view from the top of the cable road.

The popular mountain region of Racha and the resort of Shovi is a great place for a family holiday. Shovi is famous for its healing mountain air and various mineral springs. Here you can spend a few days with children in the fabulous pine forests, enjoying silence, beauty and freshness of the surrounding nature.

You will see here the Nikortsminda Cathedral of 11th century famous for it architecture and Lake Shaori, glorified by Georgian poets.

The region of Svaneti, known all over the world, is unique not only for its natural beauty. Here you will find ancient architectural buildings, the highest peaks of Georgia - Ushguli and Shkhara, local traditions and cuisine. Dozens of automobile routes leave for the sights of the region from the regional center.  The unique Svan towers, many of which are still used today, are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Travel to the mountains should be planned for at least 2 days. It should also be taken into account that it is cool in the mountains even in the summer and it is worthwhile to take along not only a swimsuit, but also warm clothes.
